Todays Word Joel Osteen 12th October 2026 – Let Go of Control

Sometimes we try to play God when someone talks negatively about us or tries to push us down. We try to straighten them out, vindicate ourselves, fix the situation. We’re worried, frustrated, upset, and disappointed. Why don’t you stop trying to control it? God doesn’t need your help. He’s not looking for you to stop the betrayals or fix the setbacks. No, release it. Let Him be God. You don’t have to fight everything that looks like it’s not going your way. If that adversity or disappointment was going to keep you from your purpose, God wouldn’t have allowed it. He is ordering your steps, and nothing happens without His permission.

Are you resisting, trying to control everything, or are you resting in faith? Why don’t you release it and trust what God is doing? Quit worrying about it, quit losing sleep, quit trying to make it happen your way. You may not understand it now, but one day you’ll see how God worked through that to get you to where you’re supposed to be. It’s the hand of God ordering your steps.

“Father, thank You that You know all the heaviness, anxiety, worry, regrets, and feelings of frustration that I am carrying. Thank You that I can come to You and release control of all of it into Your hands. I will rest in Your love and mercy and forgiveness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
