The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Saturday 8th August 2026 Is “The Bread of Life”
Read: John 6:30-35 (KJV)
Memorise: (John 6:35).
“And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.””
When God saved the children of Israel from their Egyptian masters and took them through the wilderness to the Promised Land, He fed them ‘manna’, a miraculous meal, to satisfy their hunger. They were to gather just enough manna for each day because if they kept any until the next day, it would spoil. The only exception was on the days before Sabbath days, where they were to gather a double measure (Exodus 16:4-26). However, in today’s Bible reading, when Jesus declared Himself as the Bread of life, He emphasised the need to trust Him to truly satisfy us.
My dear child, as basic as physical food is to life, so also is spiritual food essential to a believer. Jesus is the spiritual Bread that gives us everlasting life. As you dig deep into the word of God, He will satisfy your hunger by revealing the deep things of the Spirit to you. The more you feed on the Bread of life, the more you will grow and become healthy spiritually, and when you are spiritually healthy, you will be more productive in every other aspect of your life.

Only Jesus can satisfy completely.
