The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Sunday 6th July 2025 Is “The Heart Of Habakkuk ”
Read: Habakkuk 1:2-4
2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
Memorise: Habakkuk 3:2
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
Prophet Habakkuk prayed for God’s understanding and intervention regarding the violence and injustice in Judah. Then, God revealed His plans of using the Babylonians to judge Judah for their sins. Despite initial confusion, Habakkuk continued to seek God’s wisdom and justice through prayer.
The world needs more Habakkuks who will be burdened for nations. I believe Mummy G.0. is a ‘Habakkuk’ because she keeps crying to God for nations. Anytime she listens to the news and sees nations waging war against one another or hears about economic meltdowns in any country, she will ask God for mercy and look for avenues to get resources across to missionaries and Christians in those troubled nations. I pray that God will continue to bless and preserve her for us. Amen!
My dear child, the scriptures have prophesied that in the last days, the world will experience great troubles. This is not to scare you; rather, it should inspire you to rise in compassion and intercession. Ask God to give the leaders of countries experiencing troubles the wisdom and willingness to handle every crisis in their nations.
