Friendships and quality relationships provide support and encouragement when they are built on love, mutual respect, and obedience to God’s principles. The Bible encourages believers not to walk alone, but instead, to exhort and encourage one another (Hebrews 10:24-25). Today, many young people struggle with depression and psychological issues because they isolate themselves from other people.
The Bible emphasises the importance of godly associations. In Proverbs 13:20 (KJV), the Scripture says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Some Christians have encountered problems due to wrong friendships. However, there are also inspiring stories of people who were rescued from danger because a friend checked on them or alerted the right authorities on time.
An adage says, ‘Show me your friend, and I will tell you who you are. This means that your friends can significantly influence the direction of your life. Therefore, I implore you to choose your friends wisely. Ensure that you and your friends are particular about one another’s progress morally, spiritually, academically, and in other aspects of life.

Your friends can be a major influence in your life; therefore, choose them carefully.
