Today’s Bible reading brings comfort to those who feel invisible. Zacchaeus was a small man who was aware of his limitations. He wanted to see Jesus, but he could not because of his small stature, so he climbed a tree to get a good view. Jesus noticed him, called him by name, and even visited his house. Someone who could have easily been ignored because of his small stature suddenly got the Saviour’s attention.
My dear child, do you feel invisible? Do you feel like no one understands what you are going through? Do you feel that people look down on you at school, in your home, or even in your church?
It can be lonely when it seems like no one sees you, but let me remind you that God sees you. Just as He saw Hagar when she was alone in the wilderness, God sees your heart and listens to your silent prayers.
When it seems like your pastor or fellowship leader doesn’t notice you, for instance, always remember that God, the Creator of the world, sees you. He knows your name and every detail of your life. For this reason, you must be intentional about living a holy life because whatever you do, say, or think is never overlooked by God. Be careful and live only in a way that pleases Him.
