Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.
Praise is a weapon of warfare for believers. Praising God is acknowledging Him for His sovereignty, mighty power, and love and grace towards you. God is always moved by praise, and when you praise Him in the midst of challenges, He will arise to help you.
In today’s Bible reading, Paul and Silas were bound in prison. They had every reason to be sad and not praise God, but they did not allow their situation to hinder them from praising the Lord. While they sang and praised the Almighty, the prison doors opened, and the chains of every prisoner fell off. That is the power of praise.
My dear child, learn to praise and appreciate God even when you are faced with challenges. If your family is going through a difficult time at the moment, employ the weapon of praise. I assure you that as you praise God wholeheartedly today, He will come through for you and your family.
