MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday 2nd October 2026.

God is always proud of His children, especially those who uncompromisingly take their stand for Him. The Bible tells us that God looks at the hearts of men, not just the outward appearance. Job was a man whom God could boast of, to the extent that God took off His divine protection and allowed satan to afflict him. Yet, in his afflictions, he remained faithful to God. His wife counselled him to curse God and die, his friends were more of critics than comforters. In it all, Job humbly declared, “I know that my Redeemer lives … ” (Job 19:25).

Job saw his sufferings as a moulding process to bring beauty out of the ashes of his life. He declared, “When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). The waiting period was definitely not easy but it ended gloriously. The story of Job ended beautifully with a glorious restoration and multiple blessings in all areas of his life. God’s boast wasn’t in vain over Job, neither can it ever be over any of His children. Abraham was also unflinching in his faith and obedience to God. No wonder God could boast about him, confident that he would teach his children the way of the Lord, as stated in today’s memory verse.Religion & Belief

Beloved, can God boast of you? Your faithfulness, obedience and absolute trust in Him will determine that. Will you pass on the godly legacy of God’s goodness and mercy to upcoming generations? If yes, I will advise you keep it up. The divine verdict for lukewarm Christians is that they would be spewed out of God’s mouth. Before you become irritable to God, before you start to stink in His nostrils, before God casts you out of His presence, I implore you now to decide to change for good. God loves obedient and faithful believers. He boasts of them. He will boast of you too, and satan will be put to shame, in the Name of Jesus.
