MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday 1st August 2026.
Giving thanks shows an attitude of gratitude. Giving thanks to God in every situation is right and good; it will provoke Him to do more for you. The Psalmist, David, was a man who knew how to praise and thank God in every situation; unlike the Israelites, who were a band of murmurers, grumblers and complainers during their wilderness journey. They were quick to forget the goodness and mercies of God in their lives.
Unfortunately, some believers today are like the children of Israel. Ingratitude attracts divine punishment. An ungrateful heart is an abomination to God. God is our Maker; we are His creatures. No one can fully understand the awesomeness of God’s work in creating man. God is all in all for us. Think of His goodness and faithfulness in all areas of your life.
Can you quantify His goodness to you, your family, and your loved ones? What can you give to God in return for the forgiveness of your sins? What about the redemption of your life from destruction? Or the healing you receive from sicknesses and diseases which is beyond the comprehension of medicine and human knowledge? How about your everyday blessings and provision? The love of God and His faithfulness to us go far beyond our comprehension, in that, even when we don’t merit it, He still loves us.
Our God is awesome! My counsel to you is that you make it a habit to thank God always. Give Him quality praise for what He has done in your life, what He is doing and what He will do. With a grateful heart, worship the Lord and return all glory to Him for He alone is worthy. Put your needs aside and just thank Him. You will be surprised that by the time you bring your prayer of petition before Him, He will over-answer your requests because He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Be thankful always, beloved.
MORNING:
1. Spirit of ingratitude in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
2, Father, give me reasons to be thankful all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. My life, be saturated with the spirit of thankfulness, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING:
4. Spirit of grumbling and murmuring, depart from my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. The praise of God shall not depart from my mouth, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, kill the power of the flesh in my life and make me Your delight, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, I thank You for…. (mention everything you want to thank God for).
