ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 9TH JUNE 2026.
One basic problem of the Church in Galatia was that of soaking in the observance of the Law and making it mandatory for the Christian faith. In other words, they claimed to have surrendered to Christ but refused to let go their previous traditions and beliefs. Paul addressed this issue clearly.
He referred to them as “foolish Galatians.” Paul felt pain that in spite of the fact that the Galatians were aware of how Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for their redemption, they still chose to follow the observance of the law instead of standing solely in the faith of Jesus Christ (vv. 1-6). Beloved, our faith in Jesus Christ is the anchor that will cause all things to stand. There are different places of worship today which practise unscriptural beliefs.
They combine all sorts of things with Christianity and the innocent ones follow them without a second thought. It is true that men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19) but you are not unaware of the price that bought you from darkness and translated you into the marvelous light of God (1Cor. 6:20). Jesus Christ did it all. Therefore, your faith in Him alone guarantees eternal salvation. Do not allow anyone to deceive you. Just keep following Jesus Christ; you can never miss your way if you do.
PRAYER POINT: Father; strengthen me to always look by faith unto The Lamb of Calvary. Amen.
