ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE  FOR 29TH JUNE 2026.

Today, the Church celebrates Saint Peter. By the revelation from God. Peter proclaimed Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Jesus Christ noted that this confession of Peter was the foundation on which the Church would be built.

Although the name ‘Peter’ means ‘Rock’, the Church was to stand on Jesus as the sure foundation, as He is equally the Builder of His Church (v.18). The keys of the kingdom of heaven have been handed over to the Church by the Lord Jesus Christ such that her voice is honoured on earth and in heaven (v.19). There is no confusion-Jesus Christ is the Owner of His Church, and no human contention can change this eternal truth.

Beloved in Christ, Jesus Christ is the Messiah (The Anointed One). In spite of many popular confusions and diverse opinions about Christ, especially in our present day, He remains the Lord and Saviour of the world. This is the faith of the Church of God. Whatever has to do with faith comes from revelation, not a product of flesh and blood. Christians must live in the reality of this faith without shaking. The faith of the Church is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. This is the faith that can stand the test of time. There is no controversy, Jesus Christ is the Lord.

PRAYER POINT: Heavenly Father; grant me the grace to embrace the true faith in Jesus Christ.
