ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 17TH JUNE 2026.
Today, Paul continues his advice to the Galatians believers by urging them to resist any attempt to return to a life of bondage. He emphasises the importance of the freedom that Jesus Christ offered them. Since they had been made free from the Law of Moses, sin, and other bondages, they were to live by faith in Christ Jesus and stand firm in His teachings.
The false teachers among them should be ignored with their teachings, in order not to be drawn back into the old practice of mere religion. Galatians 5:6 says, “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor un-circumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” Beloved in Christ, remain steadfast in your conviction and the decisions you have made for Jesus and refuse to yield to the pressures of this world.
Stand against the lies and deceits of the world and determine to live a life of faith, trusting the living God and all His promises rather than a life of fear and religious regulations. There are false teachers in our world today, introducing many false doctrines to believers in Christ. Embrace only doctrines that align with the will and purpose of God for your life. Hence, you need the Spirit of God to help you stand strong in the face of false teachings that fill our world today.
PRAYER POINT: Dear Lord, help me to stand firm in all my decisions for the Lord in Jesus’ Name. Amen
