For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Have you ever been around someone making a barbecue before? Were you attracted to the meat being roasted or the coal being used to grill it? Certainly, you desired the delicious meat—not the coal.
It is strange and unnatural for a human being to inhale smoke intentionally instead of feeding on healthy things that nourish the body.
Addictions are satanic traps—strongholds designed to enslave a person to destructive habits. Psalm 139:15–16 reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
God designed your body perfectly, and He expects you to honor Him by taking good care of it. Smoking—whether cigarettes, marijuana, or any harmful substance—destroys that body.
Sadly, many teenagers have been deceived into thinking that taking marijuana or cannabis will make them “high,” smarter, or more creative. But the truth is the opposite: such substances damage the brain, impair judgment, and can lead to severe neurological disorders later in life.
My dear child, your body is God’s temple. Don’t indulge in destructive habits that can ruin your future. Say “no” to smoking and every lifestyle that dishonors God and harms your health.

Heavenly Father, please help me to steer clear of dangerous habits.
