TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 22ND AUGUST 2025
King Jehoshaphat once faced one of the greatest battles of his reign. A vast army rose against him, and like any of us would, he was afraid. His first response was to call for a fast and prayer across the land. But then the Word of the Lord came, it brought assurance, direction, and victory.
Take a moment to reflect: what battle are you facing today? What burden makes you cry behind closed doors, yet you step out with a smile so no one knows? Deep within, fear tries to grip your heart. Jehoshaphat felt the same way. But God’s instruction to him was clear: “You will not need to fight in this battle.”
Beloved, what threw an entire nation into fear ended in resounding praise! And so it will be for you. That situation confronting you, whether in your health, family, career, or finances, will not swallow you. It will end in praise.
Did you receive the Word of God for this year casually, or did you embrace it wholeheartedly? His promise still stands: this is your year of REST. Exchange the spirit of heaviness for the garment of praise. Praise Him for who He is. Praise Him for what He has done. But above all, praise Him for what He has promised, for His Word can never fail. Heaven and earth may pass away, but His Word stands forever.
So rise up today and give Him praise. Don’t let it be a one-off reaction; make praise your lifestyle. As you do, you will watch God move mightily on your behalf, turning every battle into victory.
Beloved, it will surely end in praise!
