TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 19TH JULY 2025
Beloved, in every family (natural or spiritual) God raises builders. These are men and women who understand the vision, carry the burden, and take responsibility for the future. Builders don’t abandon ship when storms come, they anchor deeper.
Joseph is a prime example. After rising to power in Egypt, he didn’t forget his family. His first concern after revealing himself to his brothers was: “Is my father still alive?” That’s the heart of a true son. He wasn’t just preserving himself, he was securing a future for the family name. He brought them to Goshen, a place of nourishment and preservation. That’s what builders do, they create space and systems for others to thrive.
In every ministry, every church family, there is a vision and a heartbeat. As a son or daughter in that house, you are called to follow and build that vision. Yes, you have individual gifts and talents, but those are tools for construction, not for rebellion or division. Unity is key. God does not bless disjointed efforts. You must align with the global vision of the house where you’ve been planted by God.
Don’t drink from a well and then despise it when you grow. Don’t forget the hands that nurtured you when you were nothing. Maturity is shown when you stay, serve, and build, especially when it’s inconvenient. “The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him…” (Genesis 49:23 KJV). Joseph was misunderstood, attacked, and falsely accused, yet he stayed faithful. That’s the cost of building.
Yes, challenges will come. Yes, your loyalty will be tested. But you must choose to be a builder. Kingdom builders are not afraid of their names being dragged. They value the cause of Christ above their reputation. The Kingdom must come first.
You cannot build and not be blessed. Jacob poured blessings upon Joseph, not because he was gifted, but because he took responsibility. He preserved the lineage. He carried the weight. So today, ask yourself: Am I a consumer or a builder? Am I protecting a name or building a legacy? The Kingdom needs faithful men and women who will stay, serve, and build.
