2026 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.

In the New Testament, God expects us to offer Him sacrifices but not on physical altars. From our opening scripture, we see that under the New Testament, Jesus is our Great High Priest, meaning He’s the one ordained by God to receive the sacrifices we have to offer: “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name” (Hebrews 13:15).

Now, that’s another way of saying, “By Him therefore, let us offer the calves of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.” The expression “giving thanks to His Name” is akin to the Greek word “homologeo,” which means “to make confessions to His Name.” It means “to speak the same thing in consent”; in other words, to agree with and confess what God has said about you. Every time you make the right confessions, God responds because your words are in agreement with His Word.

When you declare, “I’m the righteousness of God in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21), or “I’m the best among my peers”, you’re speaking in consent with His Word, and it’s established. Another scripture where the same Greek word (homologeo) was used is Hebrews 13:15, and it says, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

A better rendering reads: “…the fruit of our lips, making confessions to His Name.” Here, the Spirit of God, through the writer, is referring to confessions that are of praise—confessions that carry thanksgiving. Your confession must be based on what’s in the document, which is the Word of God. Hallelujah!
