SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 2025
Life teaches us lessons either by personal experiences or by learning from others. The wiser path is to learn from the mistakes of others, avoiding regrets that could have been prevented.
One striking biblical example is King Saul, the first king of Israel. Saul was divinely favoured and anointed despite coming from the least tribe, Benjamin. God had even planned to establish his throne forever (1 Samuel 13:13). Sadly, Saul lost his place before finishing his tenure.
Why? He embodied what can be called “the tragedy of personality without spirituality.”
Saul had impressive physical attributes—he was tall, handsome, and charismatic (1 Samuel 9:1–2; 10:20–25). Yet, beneath this outward personality, there was little or no spiritual depth. He was a container without content.
In contrast, David, though less physically imposing, was described as “the sweet psalmist of Israel” and “a man after God’s heart” (2 Samuel 23:1; 1 Samuel 13:14). David’s strength was not just in charisma but in his deep spirituality and intimacy with God.
Beloved, personality and charisma may open doors, but only spirituality sustains destiny. When your outer life becomes larger than your inner life, collapse is inevitable.
REMEMBER THIS:
It is not wrong to have personality, but it is a tragedy to have personality without spirituality.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Invest deliberately in your spirituality—study God’s Word and maintain a strong personal walk with Him.
Learn from the mistakes of others and avoid repeating them.
PRAYER:
Lord, draw me closer to You. Help me develop a strong spiritual root and maintain a healthy relationship with You, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
