Scripture: Acts 16:25,26
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 10TH MAY 2025
A woman once testified in one of our church services of how she was delivered from the habit of masturbation. She was into masturbation for about 18years before she was delivered by the power of God in that service.
Before her deliverance, she said she would always find herself in the dream surrounded by hefty dogs that would not allow her to move. Those evil dogs confined her to a doggish prison of masturbation, and she remained in that demonic lifestyle for 18 solid years until her moment of liberation by the power of God.
For some people, it is the captivity of alcoholism, immorality, or tobacco smoking that is holding them bound. Some are in captivity of barrenness, wretchedness, poverty, empty handedness, etc.
The good news is that every form of captivity is terminatable by the power of God. And today, we will be looking at the three major aspects of captivity that the power of God visits.
1. The power of God destroys the foundation of prisons (Acts 16:25,26). …Suddenly there was an earthquake and the foundation of the prison was shaken (Acts 16:26). Here, we see that every prison has a foundation. There is something it is standing on; there is something that is strengthening it. It is not a stand-alone prison. There are some legalities. Something like, “Why should that girl be married when their forefathers already gave us the license to hold them down and keep them single?” But such an agreement or transaction is over now. Whatever happened at any time before that licensed the devil and his agents to keep you and your family members in prison is being visited and nullified by God’s power.
2. The power of God forces open prison doors (Acts 16:25,26). Our anchor scripture says, and all doors were opened. The meaning of that is that prison has doors and doors of prisons can be opened for the captives to come out. So, wherever the devil has kept you in life, there is a way out now.
3. The power of God has the capacity to lose all bands and break all chains. And every man’s bands were loosed…(Acts 16:26).If the prison door is open and the chain is still there, at times, the situation has not changed much. Lazarus raised from the dead and came up from the grave still bound in grave clothes, and Jesus shouted, “Loose him” (John 11:44). That is, of what use is it being alive and remain bound with grave clothes?
Beloved, I declare to you today, every chain holding you is broken right now, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Every captivity is terminatable by the power of God.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
Surrender your life to Christ if you have not yet done that.
Make demands on God for the termination of every form of captivity around your life by the Blood of Jesus.
Feed your spirit-man daily with the Word of God.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the Blood of Jesus that was made available for my liberty. I refuse to be bound in captivity. Every chain around my life, is broken today by the Power of God, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
