SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 24TH AUGUST 2025
Our anchor scripture makes it clear that the Presence of the Lord is the headquarters of strength. Psalm 96:6 corroborates this when it says, Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Every time we need strength, every time we need to deal with weakness, the place to go is the Presence of God.
Now, what kind of strength can we receive from the Presence of God?
- Spiritual strength. This is the strength that helps us deal with the devil (Ephesians 6:10). Spiritual strength makes it impossible for us to faint in the days of adversity (Proverbs 24:10).
- Physical strength. This is the realm of health and vitality. Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; his strength was not reduced because of how much time he spent in the Presence of God (Deuteronomy 34:7). If you have weakness in your body, your heart, etc. the Presence of God is all you need.
- Emotional or psychological strength. Maybe your emotion is so weak, you get depressed or discouraged easily, the Presence of God is a place you can get emotional strength (Isaiah 53:1-7).
- Mental strength. This has to do with the power of the will my/choice. There are those who cannot make decisions easily; they cannot say no to the wrong things. In the Presence of God, you can develop your capacity to make critical decisions (Romans 12:1-2).
- Character strength. There are those who are bound with all manner of negative habits – tobacco smoking, masturbation, immorality, etc. and are unable to break free. They need strength in their inner man (Ephesians 3:14). And that strength is imparted by the Presence of God.
Beloved, camp with God at the place of prayer, worship and study of the Word, and your strength shall be renewed.
Remember this: Spiritual strength makes it impossible for us to faint in the days of adversity.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
