SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 2025

Sometime ago, I heard the story of Jerry Falwell who was the founder and president of Liberty University. Most of the recordings of Hosanna Integrity music were done there.

At the beginning of his ministry, he pastored five people for five years. At that time, some people may have thought that he was under a spell. But he refused to give up. He would knock on one hundred doors every day for five years, from house to house inviting people to the church. And by virtue of that persistence, the resistance broke. The church exploded and he became a counselor to many presidents. He founded a university, Liberty University, that is still standing strong today.

This story confirms that resistance will always give way for persistence. So, no matter how daring the opposition, accept the responsibility to succeed by all righteous means. The next time you face opposition, instead of giving up, stand your ground. Tell that devil, “There is a solution; there is an alternative!” If you must surmount obstacles, you must accept responsibility.

It is also vital to note that the refusal to accept responsibility goes together with looking for someone to blame. Some people are specialist in blaming witches and wizards. Others blame their parents, uncles or older siblings for not training them in school. You see, until you refuse the blame game, you can never succeed in real life.

When God asked Adam, “Why did you eat the fruit? (Genesis 3:11 Paragraph), he said, “The woman you gave to be with me….” He didn’t even say, “The woman you gave to be my wife.” As if she was a stranger. The problem was from both Adam and Eve, but Adam exonerated himself and put the blame on Eve. That was the failure of Adam.

Beloved, you need to look at yourself and say, “Whether my father gave me good education or not, I am ready to succeed in life.” Forget the past and accept the responsibility to make a difference today.

Remember this: Resistance will always give way for persistence.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

  1. Refuse to give up no matter what happens around you.
  2. Prayerfully take steps that will collapse your resistance.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to break forth despite resistance. Make a way for me where there is no way, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
