SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 10TH OCTOBER 2025
It has been confirmed that character failure is the reason for leadership failure in any sphere of life. Positive character is the strength of leadership.
Strong leaders are usually people with strong characters and weak leaders, in most cases, are people with weak characters. Character is the complete emotional, attitudinal and behavioural make-up of a person.
Now, let us look at two scriptural examples of people with strong characters who exhibited strong leadership:
1. Daniel
Daniel was a strong leader who remained relevant in leadership in four opposing and antagonistic regimes. He remained relevant in the regimes of Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Darius and Cyrus. His relevance was because of his solid and stable character. Daniel 1:8 says, But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank… That was character.
Then, in Daniel 6:3, we can see the outcome of that strong character: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
2. Our Master Jesus.
Jesus Christ is the Leader of all leaders. His relevance can never diminish. He manifested the strongest positive character while on earth. John 14:30 says, Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. That was solid character expressed. And as a result, He continues to command the largest followership in the world. The Bible, His book, is the number one bestseller.
Beloved, character is not confirmed by occasional behaviour; it is confirmed by consistent behaviour. The consistent display of established actions and habits forms character. The consistent display of anger, lying, immorality, stealing of public funds, etc. establishes one as a person of negative character.
Beloved, do you desire strong leadership capacity or authority in life? Maintain a strong character. Refuse to comprise even if you are in a place where you are not known or seen.
Remember this: The consistent display of established actions and habits forms character.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to consciously work on my character. I receive the grace for a strong and positive character, Lord, in Jesus’ Name
