SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 15TH FEBRUARY 2026
In the journey of life as children of God, it is crucial to understand that every child of God is a chosen person. We did not choose ourselves; God chose us. In the 70s and 80s, some people were fond of saying, “I found the Lord.” That statement is not true because the Lord was not missing. It is God who finds us; it is God who chooses us.
Beloved, the reason why you are not at the beer palour drinking alcohol now is God. The reason why you are not in prison now as a criminal is God. The reason why you are not in the house of prostitution or a brothel is God.
Now, it is vital to note the fact that God does not use human qualifications as criteria for His selection. That is why some people get angry because of where you are and what you have. They cannot understand why, and so they keep asking, “What did he do to get it? What did she do to get there?”
God does not use human qualifications for His selection, otherwise, Solomon being a product of adultery, should not have become the king of Israel. His mother had an adulterous relationship with David. It was from that same adulterous womb that God chose Solomon to be king over His people, Israel. There were many legitimate sons whose mothers were legally married to King David, but God did not choose any of them to be king of Israel except the son of an adulteress.
No wonder, Hebrews 5:4 says, And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
Psalm 75:6-7 corroborates by saying that …promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Beloved, the operation of God beats the selection criteria of man.
Sometime ago, the Lord ministered to me, and I realized that God is such a jealous God. If you don’t want Him to destroy anything around you, do not make that thing your god. If a business becomes your god, it might fold up. When you begin to think that you cannot live or succeed without the business, God may close it up so you can look up to Him alone.
Beloved, God is so interested in your soul that He does not want what He gives you to distract you from Him. He chose you for Himself. And whenever God chooses a person, the person is chosen, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. When you are appointed by God, you cannot be disappointed by man. When you are favoured by God, you can never be frustrated by man.
When a man appoints you, man can disappoint you. If the president of your country gives you an appointment, he can take it back. If the governor of your state gives you a contract, he can revoke it. But if God Almighty takes you up, no one can bring you down.
Remember this: God does not use human qualifications as criteria for His selection.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Appreciate God for choosing you to be His own.
2. Refuse to make the Blessing of God in your life your god.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your sufficient grace in my life. You have blessed me, Lord, and I shall remain blessed. No devil can do anything about it, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
