Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY THURSDAY 9TH OCTOBER 2025.
When we say Jesus paid the price for the sins of the world, we’re speaking broadly about humanity’s condition before salvation. However, this doesn’t apply to Christians, who are no longer counted among sinners. As a Christian, you are a unique species, not of this world, born anew through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When you confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in His resurrection, you were recreated—born again with a divine life. Romans 6:4 explains, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
This is the heart of Christianity: you are a new creation, born from Christ’s resurrection into a life of righteousness and true holiness. To be justified means to be declared not guilty—acquitted. The old, guilty self died with Christ on the cross, and a new you emerged through His resurrection. Romans 4:25 states that Jesus “…was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” As a new creation, you stand righteous before God, free from condemnation.
James 1:18 describes you as “a kind of firstfruits of his creatures,” a distinct breed with God’s divine nature—sanctified, glorified, and justified. Your past no longer defines you; in Christ, you are a new species, created to manifest His glory. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank You for the new life in Christ. I’m a new creation, justified and alive to God. Old things are passed away, and all things have become new. I walk in the consciousness of my divine nature, manifesting Your glory and righteousness everywhere I go, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
