Focus: Overcoming Temptation
Scripture: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13
Reflection:
Temptation is a reality every believer faces, but it is not an excuse for sin. God in His faithfulness provides a way of escape for every temptation. This truth means that no temptation is irresistible when you rely on God’s strength. The enemy tempts you to fall, but God allows temptation to build your faith and discipline. Jesus Himself was tempted in the wilderness yet did not sin, showing us that victory is possible. The Word of God is your strongest defense against temptation. When Satan tempted Jesus, He responded with Scripture, and the enemy fled. Temptation loses its power when you shine the light of God’s truth upon it. Never think you are alone in your struggle; every believer faces similar battles. The key is dependence on God’s grace, not self-confidence. With Him, you can overcome.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to overcome every temptation by the power of Your Spirit and the truth of Your Word.
Inspiring Quote: “Being tempted is not a sin; giving in to it is.” – Billy Graham
This Is the Assurance of Answers to Your Prayers – Matthew 7:7-11
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened…YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN GIVE GOOD THINGS TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM!
