The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Tuesday 9th September 2025 Is “Hosea Prayed”
MEMORISE: Hosea 14:4
I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
BIBLE READING: Hosea 14:1-4
1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
When I analysed Hosea’s prayer, I discovered that it was evidence of God’s boundless mercy to a wayward nation. Many nations today have turned away from God, but because of His infinite mercy, love, and compassion, He is still preserving those nations through the intercession of some of His children.
When Israel strayed from the path of righteousness, Hosea did not cast them aside; instead, he prayed for their restoration. His prayer held the power to usher in divine mercy, even in the face of rebellion. Likewise, when you, your family, or your nation fall into sin, you need to pray to God so that He can extend His hand of mercy and forgiveness.
God is committed to His people even when they deny Him, and in such cases, fervent intersession for God to show them His grace and heal them from their iniquities. My dear child, how fervent are you in interceding for your country?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please show my nation Your mercy today.
