The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Monday 27th January 2026 Is “Anger Management”
Read: Ephesians 4:20–26 (KJV)
Memorise: James 1:19
“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.”
Every day, you interact with people—at school, on the field, in the market, or at the bus station. From time to time, someone may try to provoke or annoy you. When this happens, you must learn how to handle the situation wisely so that you do not sin against God.
The Bible says:
“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath” (Ephesians 4:26 KJV).
This verse teaches us that feeling angry is not a sin by itself, but allowing anger to control your actions can lead to sin. Therefore, when someone makes you angry, take these steps:
Pause and pray: When anger rises, stop and calm yourself. Talk to God and ask Him for peace and wisdom.
Think before you speak: Avoid reacting immediately. Choose words that will bring peace, not trouble.
Focus on forgiveness: Holding on to anger hurts you more than the person who offended you. Forgive and let go.
Guard your heart: Protect your mind from negative thoughts that can fuel anger.
Seek wise counsel: Share your feelings with a teacher, parent, or trusted Christian counsellor who can guide you.
Learning to manage anger is a sign of maturity and godliness. With God’s help, you can respond calmly even when provoked.
KEY POINT:
Don’t let your anger lead you into sin.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Matthew 19:1–15; Exodus 13–15
HYMNAL:
Hymn 3 – All to Jesus I Surrender
