Open Heavens For Teens 24th April 2025 – A Higher Name

The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Thursday 24h April 2025 Is “A Higher Name ”

MEMORISE: John 14:14

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

BIBLE READING: Philippians 2:5-11

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The name of Jesus became greater than every other name after He died and rose on the third day. His name is a master key that unlocks the doors of God’s blessings to His children. One of such doors is healing. When Jesus was with His disciples, all they needed to do was to call on Him whenever they were in trouble or in need of help, and He would provide solutions instantly. However, after He ascended into heaven, He gave us His name as a powerful tool to unlock God’s blessings. No wonder Peter told the man who was lame from birth at the Beautiful Gate that he didn’t have money to give him, but he had the name Jesus. Thereafter, he healed him by calling on the name of Jesus (Acts 3:1-6).

The name of Jesus can cure any sickness or disease. I remember when I travelled to another African country and ate something that didn’t agree with my body system. After I had gone to the restroom about 24 times, it occurred to me that the Lord said that the sick would recover if I lay my hands on them. Since the Lord didn’t specify who the sick might be, I laid my hands on my head, prayed in the name of Jesus, and instantly, I became whole. You too can get healed or heal others by using the name of Jesus!

KEY POINT: The name of Jesus can heal any sickness or disease.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Judges 2:31, Luke 22:14-34

HYMN 61 – Take The Name Of Jesus With You

1 Take the name of Jesus with you,
Child of sorrow and of woe.
It will joy and comfort give you,
Take it then where’er you go.

Chorus:
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heaven;
Precious name, O how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heaven.

2 Take the name of JesUs ever
As a shield from evr’y snare;
If temptations ’round you gather,
Breathe that holy name in prayer.

3 Oh, the precious name of Jesus,
How it thrills our souls with joy,
When His loving arms receive us,
And His songs Our tongues employ!

4 At the name of Jesus bowing,
Falling prostrate at His feet
King of kings, in heaven we’ll crown Him
When our journey is complete.
