7 But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ. 8 More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them as dung, so that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ—the righteousness from God based on faith. 10 My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, 11 assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.
MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday 15th August 2025.
As believers, it is absolutely important that we experience the power of resurrection. This power brings new life, hope and encouragement, reminds us of our eternal destiny, deepens our union with Christ and empowers us for service, amongst others.
There is no better man to write about this than Apostle Paul. After his life-transforming encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, Saul of Tarsus, later Paul the Apostle, was blind for three days. On the third day, a prophet of God was sent to him to heal him of his blindness. So, in essence, Paul was also dead and he ‘resurrected’ on the third day. So, he knew what he was saying.
Paul was an educated Jew, trained in the finest elite school of that race. A lawyer by training and of the denominational sect of the Pharisee, he says, “All of those things gladly did I give up, that I might win Christ, that I might be found in Him… that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection” (Philippians 3:8-10).
There was only one thing that Paul desired to have and that was the Lord Jesus Christ. There was only one thing that Paul desired to be and that was to be identified with Christ, to be lost in the Lord: to die with the Lord, and die to the world; to be raised with the Lord, into the newness of the resurrected life; to ascend with the Lord, to be glorified with the Lord, to be at home with the Lord. Paul desired to know no other thing but the Lord Jesus Christ-Him first: “that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection” [Philippians 3:10].
That is also what we, as believers should desire to know, and to have. This is because the resurrection of Christ Jesus is more than just an event that happened once in history. It is the summation of our faith, and the source of the power that all righteous believers should experience every day of their lives.
Beloved, the same resurrection power that brought Jesus from death to life is available for you and I today. If you can only tap into it, you will see the amazing transformation of the resurrection power manifesting in your own life too.
MFM Daily Prayer Points 15th August 2025
MORNING
1. The resurrection power of the Almighty, fall upon my life, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Holy Ghost fire, burn away my afflictions, in the Name of Jesus.
3. I unseat all the enemies of my advancement, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Spirit of death and hell, depart from my life now, in the Name of Jesus.
5. Every financial failure in my life, receive permanent eviction, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Spirit of resurrection, overshadow my life, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Every imprisoned and buried talent in my life, be resurrected now, in the Name of Jesus.
