MAX LUCADO DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR TODAY 18TH OCTOBER 2026.
No one believed in people more than Jesus did. He saw something in Peter worth developing, in the adulterous woman worth forgiving, and in John worth harnessing. He saw something in the thief on the cross, and what he saw was worth saving. In the life of a wild-eyed, bloodthirsty extremist, he saw the apostle of grace. He believed in Saul.
Don’t give up on your Saul. When others write him off, give him another chance. Stay strong. Call him brother. Call her sister. It’s too soon to throw in the towel. Tell your Saul about Jesus, and pray. God is at work behind the scenes. And remember this: God never sends you where he hasn’t already been. By the time you reach your Saul, who knows what you’ll find. God used Saul—who became Paul—to touch the world. Has God given you a Saul?

SCRIPTURAL REFLECTIONS, STRATEGIC PRAYERS & DAILY ACTIVATION
Strategic Prayer Points & Biblical Intercession
- 1. Eyes of Faith: Lord, grant me Your divine perspective to see the potential for redemption in every person, even when their current actions seem beyond hope. (1 Samuel 16:7)
- 2. Unwavering Persistence: Father, strengthen my heart to remain steadfast in prayer for those who seem lost, trusting that Your hand is moving behind the scenes to bring them to salvation. (Galatians 6:9)
- 3. Instruments of Grace: Holy Spirit, use me as an instrument of Your love to reach the ‘Sauls’ in my life, that through my witness, they may encounter the transforming power of Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:18)
Daily Prophetic Decree & Faith Affirmation
“I decree and declare that the power of God is currently working behind the scenes in the lives of those I have prayed for, turning hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, and transforming every ‘Saul’ in my circle into a vessel of grace for the Kingdom of God.”
Actionable Faith Reflection & Practical Application
Identify one person in your life you have been tempted to give up on and commit to praying specifically for their transformation every day this week. Replace any critical thoughts about that individual with a spoken blessing, choosing to see them through the lens of God’s redemptive love rather than their present circumstances.
Community Discussion & Faith Reflection
Is there someone in your life today that God is calling you to keep believing in despite their difficult season?
Type ‘AMEN’ in the comments to seal this prayer and declare your faith in God’s power to change any life.
