MAX LUCADO DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR TODAY 16TH OCTOBER 2026.
During World War I, Biddy Chambers, her husband, and small daughter moved to Egypt, where he served as a chaplain. He taught, she transcribed. It was a perfect partnership. Then her husband’s complications from appendicitis rendered Biddy a widow, and all the dreams of a teaching ministry would have to be abandoned, right? Well, no. She turned her husband’s notes into pamphlets. Eventually, they were compiled into a book, My Utmost For His Highest. This work of Oswald Chambers has sold more than 13 million copies and has been translated into more than 35 languages. The next time you feel overwhelmed, remind yourself of the one who is standing next to you. Give him what you have, offer thanks, and watch him go to work. Remember friends, you are never alone.About The Author.Max Lucado’s Daily Devotional for today is written by Pastor Max Lucado. Strategic Prayer Points & Biblical Intercession
- 1. Grace in Transitions: Lord, grant me the grace to surrender my shattered plans into Your hands, trusting that You are weaving my pain into a greater purpose for Your glory. (Romans 8:28)
- 2. Eyes of Faith: Father, open my spiritual eyes to see Your presence standing right beside me, even when the shadows of life seem overwhelming and uncertain. (Matthew 28:20)
- 3. The Multiplier Anointing: I offer the little I have to You today—my struggles, my gifts, and my time—and I ask that You multiply them to impact generations for Your kingdom. (John 6:9)
Daily Prophetic Decree & Faith Affirmation
“I decree and declare that every disappointment I have faced is being repurposed by God into a platform for His power, and I will witness Him perform miracles through the very things I once thought were lost.”
Actionable Faith Reflection & Practical Application
Identify one area of your life where you feel stuck and intentionally surrender it to God by writing a brief prayer of release in your journal today. Practice the discipline of 'active observation' by pausing three times throughout the day to look for a small evidence of God's presence in your current circumstances.
Community Discussion & Faith Reflection
In what area of your life are you currently waiting to see God turn a 'dead end' into a new beginning?
