JOHN HAGEE DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE / SERMON FOR TODAY 1ST JULY 2025.

Samson was a mighty warrior, but he forgot where his strength originated. His memory lapse proved to be his ultimate downfall.

For forty years, the Philistines ruled over the Israelites, but God had not forsaken them. He sent an angel to speak to Samson’s barren mother to let her know that her soon-coming son was destined to deliver the Israelites from their adversaries (Judges 13:5). As he grew, the Spirit of the Lord began to move on him (Judges 13:25). He served as a judge to his people for twenty years (Judges 16:31).

We cannot face our battles on our own. We do not possess the strength that we need, but we know the One Who does. How liberating to trust in His promises and to cease from the pressure and the striving that wear us out and break us down. We can rest in His strength and fight in His power!

When we cry out to Him, He makes us bold in the strength of our souls (Psalm 138:3). He arms us with strength for the battle and subdues those who would rise up against us (Psalm 18:39). When our courage fails, He strengthens our hearts (Psalm 27:14). He strengthens our faith when we might otherwise waver at His promises (Romans 4:20). He is our strength, song, and salvation (Exodus 15:2). We can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13).

Even when we are burdened beyond measure (2 Corinthians 1:8), His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). He alone is the secret of our strength.

Blessing
Heavenly Father, I recognize that without You, I am nothing. Please forgive me for the times that I have tried to do it alone, to fight battles in my own strength. Help me to rest in Your grace and to do all things through Christ as He gives me strength. In the name of Jesus… Amen.
