Amid life’s turbulence, you may have heard Christians saying things like, they’ll stand in the gap for you in prayer. While those prayers and words of encouragement can minister grace, healing and prosperity to the hearers, the scriptures are clear: your life in Christ is an endeavour you must cultivate by yourself.
Intercession is a powerful and necessary tool in the body, yet the scriptures call you to work out your salvation individually. Whether it’s your spiritual authority, your father, mother, sister or brother, God placed them in your life to help guide you in your walk with Him, not to serve as substitutes for your own personal relationship. Read the scriptures and get to know Him for yourself. You’ll see how much your life begins to shift.
