In English literature, nouns identify people, places, or things, while verbs describe action, state, or occurrence. In the Church today, many Christians think that simply believing for something will bring their desired outcome.
Yet the Word clearly shows that faith is a doing word a verb that must be acted upon. Your ability to believe, on its own, carries no power in actualising faith. Hope is a goal setter, but faith is the goal-getter! Build your faith by digging deeper into the Scriptures concerning what you desire.
It’s not enough to say you believe, faith comes alive only when belief meets obedient action. Act on your faith in this Year of Strange Oil, and you’ll see your world begin to shift for the better.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, move me beyond belief into active faith. Help me to act on Your Word with obedience so my faith produces visible results in my life.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Faith is a verb! It requires action. As I study the Scriptures, I’m building my faith to stand strong and overcome every work of the enemy.
