1:1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:
1:2. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3. Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ,
1:4. just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
1:5. having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
1:6. to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.
ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 2ND MAY 2025.
When we receive a revelation-based knowledge of our position in Christ, we will praise more than we pray. Of course, prayer is not negotiable, for every believer. As a matter of fact, our prayers would be worthwhile if we will simply ask God to open our eyes to see our position in Christ Jesus. We will praise from the depth of our hearts with Paul thus, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” when we see how sufficiently blessed we are because we are united with Christ.
Christians have been chosen in Christ to live a holy and blameless life. They have also been predestined to be adopted as members of God’s family. Do you know that as a Christian, you lack no gift? Do you realise you are also enriched by Him in everything and blessed with all spiritual blessings?
Beloved, every challenge or trouble, no matter how great, can be melted today as you offer from the depth of your heart, praise rooted in this revelation. Have you been adopted into God’s family? Find a time to praise Him today!
PRAYER: Father, open my eyes to see my position in Christ and help me to reach out in faith to tap into Your blessings for me.
