The last day of the festival came. It was the most important day. On that day Jesus stood up and said loudly, “Whoever is thirsty may come to me and drink.
If anyone believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from their heart. That is what the Scriptures say.”
Jesus was talking about the Spirit. The Spirit had not yet been given to people, because Jesus had not yet been raised to glory. But later, those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit.
When the people heard the things that Jesus said, some of them said, “This man really is the Prophet.”

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday 21st December 2025.
One thing a believer should always pray and guard against is spiritual dehydration, as its consequences are very grave to the entire life of the believer.
Having understood the causes of dehydration, let us now look at its symptoms. Some of the symptoms include thirst, headache, dry skin, muscle cramps, dry tongue, and mouth. All these are very serious issues.
No wonder Jesus was pleading passionately as reflected in our memory verse for today. The Master knew many would suffer undue hardship and unwarranted oppression as a result of spiritual dehydration.
Symptoms of Spiritual Dehydration:
Evil Spiritual Thirst
This is when a person begins to crave and lust after things the Lord forbids. Many believers today have evil spiritual thirst for worldliness and sensual pleasure. Examine yourself to see whether such thirst exists in your life.Spiritual Headache
Headache, figuratively speaking, represents trouble and stress. A Christian suffering from spiritual dehydration will battle continuous troubles from the world, the enemy, and the old nature.Dry Spiritual Skin
This speaks of fading spiritual life. Spiritual dehydration removes the shine and vitality from a believer’s life.

MORNING
