MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday 18th December 2025.
“Water is life” is a popular saying, and indeed it is true. From biological and physiological perspectives, a large percentage of the human body is made up of water. Our cells, tissues, organs, blood, and systems all depend on water to function properly. The human brain also requires water to function effectively. Water regulates body temperature and sustains all bodily processes.
When the body lacks sufficient water, the condition is called dehydration. If not properly handled, dehydration can result in serious health challenges. Physical dehydration is dangerous to human wellbeing.
In the same way, there is spiritual dehydration. Just as water is vital to physical life, spiritual water is essential to spiritual life. In the Bible, water symbolises both the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Isaiah 55:1 and John 7:39 reveal water as a symbol of the Spirit, while Ephesians 5:26 and Titus 3:5 show the cleansing power of the Word. Spiritual dehydration is far more dangerous than physical dehydration because it weakens spiritual sensitivity, strength, and effectiveness.
God desires that His children remain spiritually hydrated so they can function optimally in every area of their spiritual lives. To stay spiritually hydrated, you must continually saturate your life with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. The Scripture says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” (Colossians 3:16), and also instructs us to “be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18).
Just as natural water regulates and sustains the body, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit regulate and sustain your spiritual life. The Word cleanses the heart, renews the mind, and purifies the imagination of the believer who daily drinks from the fountain of life. As you consistently take in this spiritual water, your inner man is refreshed, strengthened, and preserved from spiritual dryness and breakdown.

Thank You, Lord, for the redemption of my life, in the name of Jesus.
Powers assigned to cut me off from the fountain of life, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
Arrow of spiritual dryness fired against me, backfire, in the name of Jesus.

4. Every witchcraft pot cooking my glory, scatter by thunder, in the name of Jesus.
5. Bewitchment from the marine kingdom assigned to waste my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Holy Ghost fire, saturate my life, in the name of Jesus.
