MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday 28th June 2026.

Today, we examine David as a worshipper. David loved the Lord so much and he worshipped powerfully to express his love. When they went to bring the ark of God, David danced with all his might, teaching Christians to offer unrestrained worship to God. Beloved, worship goes beyond singing songs; it also includes the state of the heart. True worship is borne out of a genuine love for God.

You cannot worship God acceptably if your heart is not right with Him. This is the time Jesus spoke about, when true worshippers worship the Father in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).David loved the Lord so much that he declared, “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord…” (Psalm 84:10). How can you claim to love the Lord and yet, you’re unwilling to serve in His house? Your love for God will move you to worship Him through cheerful service.

Just like David, a true worshipper wants to spend time in the presence of God. He declared in Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I desired of the Lord… that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord,…” David actually wanted to build God a house but God didn’t permit him. So, he made abundant provision for the temple of God that his son would build (1 Chronicles 22:1 5).

Giving is another act of worship. David offered burnt offerings at an interval of six paces as they bore the ark of God. When you truly have a heart of worship, giving to God and fellow men becomes an outlet for expression. Beloved, worship is a weapon of warfare. God Himself fights for His children who worship Him with a pure heart. Choose to worship God with your entire life today; you’ll see Him show up for you in unusual ways henceforth, in Jesus’ name.
