MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday 7th May 2025.
People with untreated heart disease risk permanent inability to live normal and useful lives and may end up dying untimely. Christians need to be aware that a believer could also contract a spiritual heart disease that could hamper his or her life in Christ.
According to the Bible, signs of spiritual heart disease include the following, and more: a proud heart; a heart full of evil imagination (lustful, scheming evil); a troubled, heavy, sighing heart; a foolish heart (that denies the existence of God); a hard heart (not moved by the word of God or other people’s suffering); a covetous heart (always thinking about money and material possessions); a deceitful heart (pretenders in the church); a bitter, unforgiving heart.
Unfortunately, the enemy of our soul knows how to destroy a heart by cunningly feeding it with poison that will render it dysfunctional. There are so many devices that can be employed by the enemy to pollute the heart of a man. Pollution can come through the eyes (what you see), the ears (what you hear), the mouth (what you say), the heart (your thoughts), and so on. One very effective device that the enemy currently utilizes is social media. A lot of believers spend countless hours on social media browsing things that do not edify and absorbing spiritual poison thereby.
In order to prevent spiritual heart disease, you need to carefully feed your spirit man with the right food to keep it healthy and do the right spiritual exercises to keep it fit (1 Tim. 4:8). Ensure that you read, study, memorize, meditate, and confess the word of God and His promises every day. This will renew your spirit (Eph. 4:23). Also, praise God all the time; fast regularly and worship with fellow saints, in accordance with the word of God.
Having a negative mindset about God, living in disobedience, doing the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:17), are as deadly to the spiritual heart as a stroke and a heart attack are to the physical heart. On the other hand, renewing your mind with the word of God will neutralize every spiritual poison released into your heart. Living a life totally dedicated to loving God as well as fearing and seeking Him will go a long way in keeping your spiritual heart fit and healthy enough to last you through this life and into eternal life.
Beloved, I pray for you that the blood of Jesus will heal every disease in your heart, in Jesus’ name.

MORNING
- Holy Ghost fire, purge my heart of every defilement, in the name of Jesus.
- Spirit of the living God, come into my heart, in the name of Jesus.
- Pray this prayer for five minutes: My spirit man, receive fire, become fire and vomit fire, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- O God my Father, give me a heart of praise, no matter the situation in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, deliver me from agents of pollution and defilement, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, deliver me from spiritual heart disease, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, give me the heart of Christ, in the name of Jesus.
