The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Wednesday 17th December 2025 Is “Elijah Prayed”
Read: 1 Kings 18:36–37 (KJV)

“Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.”
Elijah was a mighty prophet of God who challenged 450 prophets of Baal to a contest in order to prove God’s supremacy. At that time, the Israelites had turned away from God and were worshipping Baal.
Elijah therefore sought an opportunity to turn the hearts of the people back to the true God who delivered their forefathers from slavery in Egypt.
When Elijah prayed on the day of the contest, God answered by sending fire from heaven to consume his sacrifice. The prophets of Baal were completely dumbfounded because they had cried to their god for hours without any response.
This dramatic event proved that the God of Israel is supreme over Baal and all other gods.
In the same way, God can use you to prove to unbelievers and difficult people that He is the Almighty. For instance, if you have a teacher who keeps saying you will never get an ‘A’ in his or her subject, do not be discouraged.
Go to your room or hostel and cry to God to prove Himself in your situation. You may be surprised to discover that your answers in the exam will be so excellent that the teacher will have no choice but to award you an ‘A’.
My dear child, there is no situation or challenge that God cannot resolve through prayer.

Father, please prove Your might in my life and family, in Jesus’ name.
