The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Wednesday 20th August 2026 Is “Victory Through Submission”
Read: Psalm 37:4-5 (KJV)
Memorise: (James 4:7).
“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
Submitting to God is an important key to victory for every believer. Whenever some people quote today’s memory verse, they only emphasise on the latter part of it. However, as we see in that Scripture, before a fellow can make the devil flee from him or her after resisting him, such a fellow needs to first submit to God. When you submit to God and align yourself with His will, you will experience victory over the devil. When you submit to God, you will obey His commands and follow His directions.
David, a man after God’s own heart, is a perfect example of someone who submitted to God’s will. The Bible makes us understand that he grew great, and the Lord was with him (2 Samuel 5:10).
My dear child, if you are trusting God for a breakthrough in any area of your life, you must submit to His lordship. When you submit to Him totally and obey His instructions, victory becomes certain.

I’m gonna say that you should try as much as possible to give the bible verse reading especially as regards to those of us who do not hvae a quick bibe access whenever we are doing the devotion. Thanks much and God bless.
