The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Tuesday 18th February 2026 Is “Under Peer Pressure”
Read: Romans 12:1–2 (KJV).

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Peer pressure can be very strong, especially during your teenage years. Sometimes, the desire to fit in, be accepted, or look “cool” can push you toward choices you know are not right. However, staying true to your faith is far more important than gaining temporary approval from others.
Many young people give in to negative peer pressure because they want to please people more than they want to please God. But the Bible makes it clear that our goal should be to honour God first.
In Galatians 1:10, Apostle Paul explained that if his aim was to please people, he would not be a true servant of Christ. Pleasing God must always come before pleasing the crowd.
My dear young friend, do not allow pressure from classmates, friends, or social media to control your decisions. Whether it involves dishonesty, unhealthy relationships, substance use, or compromising your values, stand firm. God created you with purpose, and you do not need to change who you are to gain acceptance.
Ask God daily for the courage to stand for what is right. Also, choose friends who share your values and encourage you to grow spiritually. The right friends will strengthen your faith, not weaken it.
Remember, you were not created to please people—you were created to please God. When you honour Him, He will guide your steps and give you peace.
