Memorise: 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 (KJV)

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 20TH JULY 2025

Beloved, one of God’s greatest desires is to raise men and women who are pillars in His house, not spectators, but true builders of the family name. As you grow in the things of God, a time will come when a weight of divine responsibility will rest upon your shoulders. At that point, you move beyond simply attending church, you begin to uphold it.

Leadership is not about glamour or titles. It is a call to responsibility. It’s a call to service. It is a call to be rock-solid, dependable, and unwavering in support of the work of God. Everyone loves the visibility and recognition that sometimes comes with leadership, but few are willing to carry its burdens. Yet, without strong spiritual pillars, the house cannot stand.

You are not in your church by accident. God in His wisdom planted you there for a divine purpose. There are countless ministries around the world, but He strategically placed you in a local assembly where your destiny can be nurtured and fulfilled. You are not just called to receive, you are called to contribute, support, build, and strengthen others.

The scripture reminds us that God comforts us in our tribulations so that we can comfort others. The grace and help you have received are meant to establish others. So don’t hoard your testimony. Don’t sit back while others struggle through what you’ve already overcome. Be a lifter. Be a support system. Guard your attitude. Don’t become a spiritual caterpillar, uprooting others with harsh words or an unwelcoming spirit. Instead, be a conduit of comfort and encouragement. Build people up. Strengthen the weak. Point the weary to Christ.

Remember, God is still in the business of using ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
