TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 13TH NOVEMBER 2024
In chapter one of the book of Jonah, God gave Jonah instructions. Rather than obey, Jonah decided to run. The God of flesh then spoke to a fish in the sea, saying soon, I will be throwing down somebody named Jonah, but I don’t want you to eat him because he is not for you to eat as food. I want you to keep him for a while until he recognises that God rules in the affairs of men. When Jonah repented and was ready to do the Lord’s bidding, God again told the fish to vomit Jonah on the land. Jonah cannot swim; if he vomited in the sea, he would drown. And the fish obeyed. That same God will do wonders in your life. Whatever has swallowed you up will vomit you.
According to the account in Matthew 17, God also spoke to another fish to swallow up a coin. Fishes naturally don’t eat metals, but God told the fish to swallow the coin. In other words, keep it because I will need the coin. So, when it was time to pay tax, Jesus sent Peter to the exact sea where God had instructed the fish to position itself for Peter’s hook. As soon as Peter cast the hook into the sea, he brought out the fish with the coin.
Child of God, understand that when the time comes for your need to be met, nothing will stop you. God can speak to any of His creations on your behalf, and they will obey. A fish is somewhere carrying your millions; God will position that fish for you. There shall be no more strandedness for you. Money will not embarrass you! Money will no longer limit you. From today, blessings will begin to gravitate towards you. God will show up in your life. You will eat the good of the land, and your barns will burst forth with plenty. You will not be denied.
