TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 15TH AUGUST 2023

Beloved, what you should fear as a child of God is not what the devil is doing, or what he brings against you to make you doubt what has happened in your life. You should rather fear that you may likely take a step that will jeopardize your inheriting the promise that God has already made. You should be concerned about you having to position yourself that nothing negative comes out of you. A promise has already been made and God has already moved but occasion may arise to make you doubt the promise and failing to experience it.

The book of Hebrews 3:14(KJV) says “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end”. In other words, whatever God has done in your life you have a responsibility to hold on to it till the end no matter what is coming against you. No matter the seeming impossibilities, challenges and circumstances around you, you have to stand your ground. Regardless of whatever the enemy throws at you, know that God has moved in your life. If you don’t learn how to deal with the devil’s counterattack, it is so easy to let go of your conviction and thereby lose what God has already done.

The scripture says: “…we are made partakers…” (Hebrews 3:14 KJV). The partakers referred to here are those who, irrespective of what the enemy may bring against them, will say I am standing with God. I am going to listen to what God has said and not what the devil is saying. It says consider the High priest of your confession –Jesus. In other words, take a cue from Him. The book of Hebrew 4:11(KJV) says: “Let us labour therefore to enter…” In other words, ensure that in every given moment, no matter how the enemy tries to present a negative report to you, just focus on the promise. Focus on the answer that you believe you had already received.
