TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 8TH NOVEMBER 2025
Beloved, sin did enormous damage to the human mind and heart. Through the fall, the devil painted a false picture of who God is. He made man believe that God is harsh, that He is always angry, and that He wants to punish us when we make mistakes. That is a lie from the pit of hell. The truth is this, when man fell, God did not change. His love remained constant.
In the beginning, God revealed His goodness through creation. Everything He made was for the benefit and comfort of man. Then He made man in His image and likeness and crowned him with dominion.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV).
But the devil crept in and deceived Adam, making him believe that God was withholding something good from him. Sadly, Adam fell for the lie, and fellowship was broken. Yet, even after man sinned, God did not withdraw from him. He came into the garden, calling out, “Adam, where are you?” What a picture of love! God wasn’t looking to condemn Adam, He was longing to restore him.
That question, “Where are you?”, was not one of anger, but of love and mercy. It was the voice of a Father saying, “I miss you. I want you close. Come, let us talk again.” Mercy was reaching out to Adam, but Adam was running away. He ran from the very presence that could heal and restore him.
Beloved, don’t make the same mistake. No matter how far you’ve gone or how deep you’ve fallen, don’t run from God, run to Him. His arms are open wide. The mercy of God is still reaching out to you today. He is not angry with you; He wants to restore you, heal you, and bring you back into fellowship with Him.
God is not looking for perfection; He is looking for relationship. Come as you are. Let His love wash away your guilt and shame.
