TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 8TH JANUARY 2025
David, the servant of the Lord, decided to bring the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. Halfway into the journey, there was a breach and Uzzah was killed. Prior to this time, the Ark had been taken by the Philistines, which they later released when the Ark began to devastate their land. That is how your life is when you understand your position in God.
You are a dangerous cargo. God is in you – you are an Ark. It is dangerous for the enemy to think he has got you all figured out. You don’t need to be afraid when you are in the camp of the enemy. They have to let go of you otherwise what is in you will cause havoc until they are forced to release you.
David was offended and distressed when God struck Uzzah for his error. The music stopped. The dancing stopped. And the ceremony stopped.
Beloved, I challenge you today not to stop the music or the dancing. No matter what comes, let the music continue. David stopped the music and refused to take the Ark to his palace, so the Ark was taken to the house of Obededom the Gittite. When the Ark got to the house of Obededom, everything there became blessed.
Think of it and apply it to your life. Your body is the temple of God. You are God’s carrier. You are the Ark of God. The fact that God is in you means that everything about you should be blessed. You are not ordinary! You are blood-bought and blood-washed. God is in you! Wherever you find yourself, see yourself as the channel through which blessings will come to that place and walk in that consciousness. They had better treat you well in your family, office and community and give you your rights and privileges because you are there with the light of the Kingdom.
