TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 6TH JANUARY 2026
Beloved, there are certain habits and attitudes that can quietly limit our progress in life. One of them is dishonour. Never dishonour people. Let your life and conduct speak of trustworthiness and integrity.
If you are a minister of the gospel, never base your decision to honour an invitation on how much you will be paid. And if, for any reason, you cannot attend a meeting or event you were invited to, have the courtesy to send a message back. Those who invited you likely made preparations out of respect and expectation. To accept an invitation just to please them, and then fail to show up, is a mark of dishonour. Do not allow such behaviour to define you.
Also, beware of those who abandon God’s plan because of temporary challenges. I remember as a young man studying in the United States at a school of ministry, many advised me not to return to Nigeria. “Stay here,” they said. “What are you going back for?” But I made up my mind to return. I told them, “If God can only be God in America, then He is not God at all.”
I packed my bags and came back home, and I have never regretted it. God has proven Himself faithful.
Beloved, it is not about location; it is about position, your position in the will of God. If you don’t carry the grace of God within you, no location on earth can make you prosper. Even if you were placed in Buckingham Palace, nothing would change. But if you are in the center of God’s will, even the desert will bloom around you.
Therefore, stay in God’s will. Be diligent. Conduct yourself responsibly and with excellence wherever God places you. Take ownership of your assignment. When you fully commit to where God has planted you, He will unfold His divine purpose in your life.
Remember this, God will always honour those who honour Him and follow His will. Trust Him completely, and you will find fulfilment wherever you are.
