TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 3RD MARCH 2025
Jesus shed His blood at Gethsemane while praying for strength to go through the pain and agony of the Cross. He looked at the sin problem, He looked at the weight and said Father this thing is heavy, can I handle it in any other way? And the Father said no, there is no other way to handle it. And Jesus responded, nevertheless, not my will, but let your will be done. And so He decided to obey the will of the Father by going to the cross.
The blood He shed at Gethsemane broke His will, that He MAY be submissive to the Father’s will. The application of this blood that was shed while He was praying, is to break your will, so that you can be totally submitted to God. You should not just go about doing whatever you want. If Jesus had to submit Himself, and had to have His will broken in obedience to the Father, then the same thing applies to you.
One of the greatest things God has given us, is the power of choice. But He wants us to willingly give that choice to Him. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Though He was God, He made Himself of no reputation, and took on the form of a servant. He submitted everything about Him to the will of the Father, for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
Beloved, that is our example. Like Jesus did, we must do likewise, submitting to the will of the Father in all situations.
