TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 26TH MARCH 2025

Beloved, our text states what Jesus said to the Pharisees, the people who said they were obeying the law. It is deep! And to understand its full import, it is important that you read the entire chapter. In our text, Jesus was dealing with the Pharisees and all the Scribes, those who were priding themselves in keeping the law. He raised the bar on the law to the highest level, to let them know that they were not actually keeping the law. He taught them that the way it works in the kingdom, is that you clean the inside first, and then the outside will automatically be taken care of. Meaning, first, accept what Jesus has done on your behalf, then it will affect your lifestyle.

If you don’t accept what Jesus Christ has done for you as a revelation and truth, what will happen is that your life will be going in a limbo – a vicious cycle. You will be falling from one sin to the other, struggling to be delivered from sins. Dealing with condemnation every day of your life, is the easiest way to keep falling into sin. As long as the devil keeps condemning you, you will be committing more sins and you will never be free. You must accept who you are in Christ, and then it will affect your lifestyle.

Realize that you are not a human doing, you are a human being. You are not a spirit-doing, you are a spirit-being. It is after you have accepted that you are first a being then you will be able to do. God made man in His own image first, and then man can now function like Him. If you don’t accept who you are as the righteousness of God, that you have been made righteous, you will keep struggling. This is why the bible tells us that the Just shall live by faith. The question is faith in what? Faith in what Christ has already done on your behalf.
