TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 25TH SEPTEMBER 2025

Beloved, the Bible does not say you will be forgiven. It declares that you have already been forgiven. This truth is the foundation for manifesting the fruits of righteousness. Many believers struggle with bearing fruit because they have either refused to accept that their sins are forgiven, forgotten that there is no condemnation in Christ, or allowed guilt to cloud their identity. And when you forget you’ve been purged, fruitfulness becomes stifled.

The psalmist reminds us: “But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” (Psalm 130:4 KJV). Notice, it doesn’t say God is feared because He judges, but because He forgives. His forgiveness inspires reverential awe and worship, not terror. This fear speaks of deep worship, not dread.

Jesus Himself explained this in Matthew 4 when He quoted from Deuteronomy: “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Worship, therefore, is the true expression of the fear of God.

When you truly grasp that God forgave you when you deserved judgment, condemnation, and punishment, your heart will overflow with worship. Forgiveness fuels love. Grace inspires devotion. Gratitude produces fruit. Worship becomes your lifestyle.

He lifted you out of the miry clay. His love reached into your mess and brought you out. When you realize that He loved you first, you will desire to love Him back, not out of compulsion, but out of gratitude. And as you love Him, you will naturally bear fruit, because His life is flowing through you.
