TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 20TH FEBRUARY 2025

Jesus Christ, through His death, His burial, and His resurrection has satisfied the claims of justice. God so loved you that He was willing to give to us His only Son for you to be justified. It will be contrary to the law of double jeopardy for Christ to suffer and for us to suffer too. God is too just and holy to do that. Christ came because you cannot pay for your sins. And He paid in full so that you can be justified.

The book of Ephesians 1:7 (KJV) says: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Because of His blood, our sins are forgiven, God has forgiven us. Forgiveness is part of the salvation package. The devil cannot accuse us any longer, because we are completely forgiven.

If there was any sin remaining, Jesus would still be in the grave! He will remain there because the devil would say there is still one more. He came to take away sin. So, away with sin consciousness! It is a wrong thought pattern for a believer to wake up every morning and think of sin. You don’t belong there. We are saved by grace and this same grace maintains us to make sure that we stand with Him. And He keeps us on course even when we miss it.
